Pujya Swamiji had often commented that Taittiriya Upanisad held a prime place in all Vedanta-shastra and keenly expressed a wish to see his Taittiriya classes in book form.
With the blessings of Pujya Swamiji, Arsha Vidya Research and Publication Trust is happy to inform about the release of Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s commentaries on Taittiriya Upanishad and the Catussutri of the Brahmasutra with Shankara Bhashyam. The release of the books were part of the Shraddhanjali function on 11th September 2016 in Rishikesh.
The Honourable Chief Minister, Uttarakhand, Sri Harish Rawat was Guest of Honour at the function and was welcomed with mala and blessings by Swami Suddhanandaji, chairman and managing trustee of Arsha Vidya Pitham, Swami Dayananda ashram in Rishikesh.
Chief Minister Sri Harish Rawat released the two-volume set of Taittiriya Upanishad with Shankara’s Bhashyam, and the also long awaited publication of Pujya Swamiji’s Brahmasutram Catussutri.
The Shraddhanjali of Swami Viditatmanandaji, president of Arsha Vidya Gurukulam Saylorsburg, was in the form of introducing the two new books. About the Taittiriya Upanisad he said that: “… Pujya Swamiji loved this text and in His opinion Taittiriya Upanisad was one of the most important texts of Vedanta.” Swami Viditatmananda also shared with the audience that Pujya Swamiji had hands-on input into both publications until almost hours before his Samadhi.
On 12th September more than 150 of Pujya Swamiji’s sannyasi disciples were each presented with copies of Pujya Swamiji's new books on Taittiriya Upanishad and Brahmasutram Catussutri. Sheela Balaji, managing trustee of Arsha Vidya Research and Publication Trust requested all to receive these books as Pujya Swamiji’s prasadam.
